Reddit marketing agency

Your buyers are asking Reddit what to buy. Be in the answer.

We help B2B and consumer brands take part in the Reddit conversations their buyers already trust - organically, inside the rules, and in a way search engines and AI assistants pick up.

  • Real accounts, real expertise, disclosed affiliation
  • Subreddit-by-subreddit rules research before a single comment
  • Organic presence, Reddit Ads and AMAs run as one plan

No fake accounts, no bought upvotes, no astroturfing — here is why.

A Reddit teardown, free

Tell us your category and we will come back with the threads your buyers are already reading, the subreddits where you are allowed to take part, and the three moves we would make first.

  • Where your brand is mentioned today - and what is said
  • The subreddits that matter, with their rules read
  • Competitor presence: organic and paid
  • The first 90 days, written as a plan you could run without us

Reddit stopped being a side channel

Three things happened at once, and together they changed where buying decisions get made.

People add "reddit" to their searches

When a search result looks like an affiliate roundup, people go looking for a human who has actually used the thing. Reddit is where they go, and the thread they land on is usually years old and still being read.

Reddit threads rank

For "best X", "X vs Y" and "is X worth it" queries, a Reddit thread is frequently the result sitting above your own landing page. You cannot outrank the conversation. You can be a useful voice inside it.

AI assistants quote Reddit

Answer engines lean on forum discussion for opinion-shaped questions, because that is where the opinions are. If your product is absent from those threads, it is absent from the answer the buyer is shown.

The rules we work by

Reddit punishes marketing that pretends not to be marketing, and the punishment lands on your brand, not on an agency’s throwaway account. So the method is built around what is actually allowed.

No fake accounts. Ever.

No sockpuppets, no vote manipulation, no paid upvotes, no comment rings. It violates Reddit’s content policy, it gets domains site-wide banned, and the recovery costs more than the campaign ever earned.

Affiliation is disclosed

When we comment on behalf of a client, the account says who it works for. Counter-intuitively this performs better: Redditors are fine with a vendor who is upfront and useful, and merciless with one who is caught pretending.

The rules get read first

Every subreddit has its own self-promotion rules, and most have a ratio. We document them per community before anything is posted, and we work the ratio honestly rather than gaming it.

Useful first, product second

The comment has to be worth reading by someone who will never buy from you. If it is not, it gets removed, downvoted, or worse - remembered.

How an engagement runs

Four phases. Every artefact is yours, written so your team could run it without us.

01

Listen

Weeks 1-2

Before anything is posted, we read. Every mention of your brand, your competitors and your category across Reddit’s history, sorted into what people praise, what they complain about, and what they ask for and cannot find.

You get: A teardown document and a shortlist of communities, ranked by opportunity against difficulty.

02

Plan

Weeks 2-3

We turn the research into a playbook: who speaks, from which accounts, in which communities, how often, and what they are allowed to say. This is also where the disclosure language and the escalation path for anything sensitive get agreed in writing.

You get: A Reddit playbook your team can read in twenty minutes and argue with.

03

Engage

Ongoing, weekly

The operating rhythm. We monitor for new threads daily, draft responses, get anything sensitive approved, and post at the cadence the plan sets. Where ads are running, the same messages are tested paid and the winners feed back into the organic side.

You get: A steady, visible presence, and an inbox that is never surprised.

04

Compound

Quarterly

Reddit’s payoff is unusual: a good thread keeps earning for years, and the work gets cheaper per result over time. Quarterly we look at what the back catalogue is still producing, refresh the threads that rank, and decide where the next quarter’s effort goes.

You get: A compounding asset, and an honest answer about whether it is working.

Common questions

Is marketing on Reddit even allowed?

Yes - and Reddit sells ads, so it would be strange if it were not. What is not allowed is deception: fake accounts, vote manipulation, and spamming the same link across communities. Individual subreddits then add their own self-promotion rules on top, and those are the ones that catch most brands out. Our entire method is built on reading them first.

Will you post as us, or as yourselves?

Either, and often both. Founder-led commenting from a real, disclosed account tends to perform best, so where a founder or subject expert is willing to spend 20 minutes a week, we draft and they post. Where they are not, we operate a disclosed brand account. What we will not do is create an account that hides who it belongs to.

How long before this does anything?

Organic Reddit is slow to start and slow to decay - the opposite shape to paid. Expect the first weeks to be research, account standing and a handful of genuinely useful comments, with meaningful referral traffic and thread rankings arriving over a few months. Reddit Ads can be live in days if you need something faster while the organic side builds.

Do you guarantee rankings or upvotes?

No, and nobody honest does. Votes come from strangers and rankings come from Google. We commit to the work, the cadence and the reporting, not to a number that only Reddit’s users can decide.

What if a thread about us is already negative?

That is one of the most common reasons brands call us, and it is fixable more often than it feels. The response is rarely to argue in the thread - it is to answer the underlying complaint publicly, get the fix documented, and build enough genuine presence that the negative thread is no longer the only thing a searcher finds.
