About Sparkside AI
One channel, learned properly. We would rather be the people who genuinely understand Reddit than a full-service agency with a Reddit slide.
Most agencies treat Reddit as a social channel and schedule posts into it. That fails, predictably, because Reddit is not a feed - it is thousands of small communities with their own rules, their own moderators, and a long institutional memory for brands that have wasted their time.
We built this around one bet: the brands that win on Reddit are the ones that show up as a knowledgeable participant rather than an advertiser. That is slower, harder to fake, and much harder for a competitor to copy.
What we believe
Communities are not audiences
An audience is something you broadcast to. A community is a group of people with standards about who gets to speak. The distinction is the whole job.
Disclosure is an advantage
Saying "I work for them, here is the honest answer" buys more credibility than any amount of clever positioning, and it removes the one risk that can end a brand’s presence overnight.
The best comment often loses you the sale
Telling someone your product is the wrong fit is the single most effective thing we write. It is also the thing brands find hardest to approve.
Slow channels beat fast ones eventually
A thread from two years ago still sends signups today. Very little else in marketing does that, and it is worth being patient for.
What we will not do
Not as a values statement - as a scope boundary, because these are the requests that come up and the answer is the same every time.
- Create accounts that hide who they work for, or post as a "regular user" who is not one.
- Buy, trade or coordinate upvotes, or ask anyone on your team to do it.
- Astroturf a competitor’s thread, positively or negatively.
- Post reviews of your product from accounts we control.
- Message moderators to get a removal reversed.
- Promise a specific number of upvotes, rankings or mentions.
Every one of these gets brands site-wide bans and domain-level filtering. There is no version of this channel where the shortcut is worth it.
How we are set up
A small senior team rather than a pyramid. The person who researches your communities is the person who writes in them - Reddit is not work that survives being handed to someone who has never read the subreddit.
We cap the number of clients per category so that we are never writing on behalf of two competitors in the same thread.
Questions we get asked
Are you affiliated with Reddit?
No. We are an independent agency. We buy ads on Reddit’s platform like any advertiser and we follow Reddit’s content policy, but there is no partnership, endorsement or special access, and anyone claiming otherwise should be treated with suspicion.
Do you work with competitors in the same space?
No. One client per competitive set. It would be impossible to advise both honestly, and Reddit users would spot the pattern quickly.
