Service
Reddit SEO and AI search visibility
For "best", "vs" and "is it worth it" queries, a Reddit thread is often the top result and the source an AI assistant quotes. You cannot outrank the conversation, so the job is to be usefully present inside it.
What the service includes
- Ranking-thread inventory
- Gap analysis
- Participation in live threads
- Question-shaped content
- AI answer tracking
- Monthly visibility report
This is the service that changed most in the last two years. Reddit content became unusually visible in search results, and then answer engines started leaning on the same discussions to answer opinion-shaped questions. The practical effect is that a five-comment thread from 2023 can be the thing that decides your category for a buyer who never visits your site.
What the service includes
Ranking-thread inventory
Every Reddit thread that currently ranks for your money terms, with its position, its age, and whether your brand appears in it at all.
Gap analysis
The queries where a Reddit thread ranks and you are absent, ranked by how commercial the query is. This is the target list.
Participation in live threads
Useful, disclosed contributions to the threads that already rank - which is how a mention gets into the text that Google and answer engines read.
Question-shaped content
Where no good thread exists for a query your buyers ask, we create a genuinely useful one in the right community rather than a promotional post nobody will read.
AI answer tracking
Recurring checks of what the major assistants say when asked your category’s buying questions, and whether you are named.
Monthly visibility report
Thread positions, mention share against named competitors, and movement in AI answers.
Why a Reddit mention behaves differently to a backlink
A link from a Reddit comment does not pass ranking signal the way an editorial link does. Its value is elsewhere, and it is worth being precise about what you are buying:
- The thread ranks, not your page. Being named in a thread that sits at position two for "best CRM for agencies" puts you in front of that query’s traffic without owning the page.
- Answer engines read the text. Assistants summarising a discussion reproduce the names that appear in it, with the sentiment attached to them.
- It is durable. Threads accumulate rankings over years, and unlike your own content, competitors cannot simply publish a better version to displace it.
- It is unbuyable. No amount of budget places you in a thread. It has to be earned by someone saying something useful.
What we will not do here
The obvious shortcut is to post the thread yourself from an account you control, fill it with recommendations for your own product, and let it rank. It works for a few weeks. Then it gets found - by a moderator, by a competitor, or by Reddit’s own spam systems - and the fallout attaches to your brand permanently.
So: no self-posted fake recommendation threads, no purchased mentions, no upvote services. Everything here is earned participation under disclosed accounts.
How we measure it
| Metric | What good looks like |
|---|---|
| Ranking threads that mention you | Rising quarter on quarter, from a baseline that is usually zero |
| Position of those threads | Stable top-10 for the commercial queries in scope |
| AI answer inclusion | Named in assistant answers to your category’s main buying questions |
| Mention share | Your share of category mentions, against a named competitor set |
| Referral and self-reported attribution | Reddit appearing in "how did you hear about us" answers |
Questions we get asked
Can you get a Reddit thread to rank on demand?
No. We can make it far more likely - the right community, a question people genuinely search, a title that matches the query, and a discussion worth reading - but Google decides, and anyone promising a position is guessing.
Does this replace our own SEO?
No, it complements it. Your site should still own the queries where a vendor page is the best answer. Reddit SEO addresses the queries where searchers have specifically decided they do not want a vendor page.
How do we know if an AI assistant mentions us?
We run a fixed set of category questions against the major assistants on a schedule and record the answers. It is sampling rather than measurement - the answers vary - but the trend over months is real and it is the best signal currently available.
